One of the little projects that we needed to do on the house was to
paint the outside wall. It was origionally white with bits of pink showing
through. The wall probably was not painted since Jimmy Carter was in
office, so it really needed it. We started around Memorial Day. I really
thought Jen was going to be able to do this herself. I told her she needed
to scrape, then paint. The scraping turned out to be more than she could
handle.

We finally decided that this was too long and messy, so we rented a pressure washer from Home Depot. This was great!!! this thing was pealing the paint off the house like pulling the husks off of an ear of corn. Jen didn't want to give me a turn, so she did about 80% of the pressure washing.
When Jen was done pressure washing the paint off, I had to patch any existing cracks and holes (as well as any minor damage done by the pressure washer). There were paint flakes (large and small) everywhere. Even our dog had paint flakes on him!!! Clean-up was not very fun.
